    Excerpt
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will help the local government unit of Malay in cleaning the excessive algae that grew on the white-sand shores of this island resort. “Dr. Palencia invented the vigormin, a white powdery substance which she also calls the ecofriendly septic system (ECO-SEP), a technology for domestic wastewater treatment,” said Lachica. The ECO-SEP is a movable and deployable septic tank system for the settling, aerobic digestion and filtration of sewage/septic water. The DOST-Aklan also sought help from Malay in the establishment of a satellite office in Boracay for better function and mobility.
