Several operators of commercial fishing vessels including small fisher folks asked the Capiz provincial government through Gov. Antonio del Rosario to allow them to fish outside the 15-kilometer provincial water radius. The fishing operators went to the office of the governor to air their concerned regarding the strict implementation of Fishery Laws which prohibits them from fishing within the 15-kilometer radius. The Roxas City Bantay Dagat recent intensified its campaign against illegal fishing.
