    Excerpt
It appears that the municipal government of Estancia, Iloilo distrusts its own police force in dealing with illegal fishing activities in the town. This situation can be gleaned from the request of the Estancia local government that the Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force take custody of a fishing boat allegedly used in dynamite fishing. According to a police blotter report and a letter from the Estancia fishing port management, the fishing boats were apprehended on April 27, 2017 after three consecutive blasts were heard near the port at around 9 p.m.
