The Department of Agriculture (DA) urged farmers and fisherfolk in Negros Island Region (NIR) to utilize various credit assistance programs like loans from the agency to achieve agricultural productivity. Joyce Wendam, regional director of DA-NIR, said Monday they recognized the need for farmers and fisherfolk to have capitalization support to sustain their production especially during threats brought by calamities. Wenda ms aid farm and fishery loans from the government help recipient- farmers fund their farm input expenses like seeds and fertilizers.
