The total volume of fishery production in the province of Aklan declined by 1.9 percent due to the decrease in output of subsectors, a Philippine Statistics Authority report showed. Data Showed the total fishery production reached 22,684.31 metric tons (MT) last year, which means a decrease of 440.19 MT from 23,134.5 MT in 2015. Aquaculture went up by one percent with 12,486.34 MT in 2016 from 12,367.56 MT in 2015.
