    Excerpt
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 6 is working out an El Niño mitigation plan to lessen the dry spell's impact on the fisheries sector. "We are currently planning for one. We will also meet with stakeholders through our provincial fishery officers in the region," said Director Remi Aparri. El Niño brings with high temperatures that could adversely affect the biological parameters of fish and result to a decrease in production, she explained.
