The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will deploy a vessel next month to escort a civilian-led mission to the West Philippine Sea (WPS) to ensure the safety of participants, officials said. The Atin Ito Coalition’s fourth mission is scheduled for April and will travel to Pag-asa Island, which is home to more than 500 Filipinos. The voyage marks the group’s latest effort following three similar civilian-led voyages conducted since 2023.
