The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has declared a moratorium on confiscating imported frozen fish such as pink salmon and pompano in wet markets as it reviews its regulations and policies. However, it will concentrate and intensify its campaign in ports and cold storage facilities against unauthorized and undocumented imported frozen fish coming into the country.
