Nine fishermen from Palawan were plucked from danger in a high-risk maritime rescue off Anini-y, Antique, after their vessel went into distress amid rough sea conditions, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported. Commander Richard Gura, spokesperson of the Coast Guard District Western Visayas, said they received a distress alert past 7 a.m. on December 5 from the Coast Guard District Palawan’s Communications Center involving FBCA Kim Syvil, located around 19 nautical miles southwest of Nogas Island.
