    Excerpt
The city government here is set to extend financial assistance to fisherfolk and farmers who were severely affected by Typhoon “Tino,” which struck the city on November 4, 2025. Officer-in-Charge Maricar Quiro of the City Agriculture Office (CAO) said the assistance will be sourced from the city’s local funds under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD). A total of 340 beneficiaries, including fisherfolk and 20 rice and corn farmers, are expected to receive cash aid.
