The Palina River Cruise in Roxas City has earned regional recognition after being named a recipient of the ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award (Urban Category), highlighting its success as a model for eco-friendly and community-based tourism. Known for its crystal-clear waters, expansive mangrove ecosystems, and showcase of local Capisnon cuisine, the Palina River Cruise has become one of Roxas City’s flagship tourism destinations. In a statement, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas congratulated the Palina River Development Association Inc. and the Roxas City government for the achievement, citing their collective efforts in transforming the once-silted river into a thriving tourism and livelihood hub.
