Fisherfolk group Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (Pamalakaya) on Friday, July 10, linked the reported fish kill on the Rizal side of the Laguna Lake to alleged wastewater discharge activities of water concessionaire Manila Water Company Inc. “The smell of the water discharged by Manila Water is terrible. It hurts the nose; it hurts the throat,” a person said in a video from Pamalakaya. The alleged wastewater is dumped in Barangay Ithan, Binagonan, and goes straight to the Laguna Lake.en
