The Malandog River in Hamtic town in the province of Antique is up for rehabilitation to regain its once pristine state. Secretary Roy A. Cimatu of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in his recent visit to Region 6 made a marching order to the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) in Antique to help rehabilitate the Malandog River. The once pristine Malandog River in Hamtic town in the province of Antique has reached a deteriorated condition. The river flow has been slowed down by too much silt, wastes and other debris, thereby posing a threat to health and safety of the surrounding communities, even the vessels.en
