dc.descriptionA green sea turtle’s nesting site was discovered during an inspection and monitoring on June 11, 2026, at the coast of Sabtang in Batanes, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro) said on Sunday. The Penro said that the new nesting site was not among those documented by the monitoring team in the area. To protect the nesting site, Penro has imposed monitoring and supervision work. A net was put up around the site to avoid predators from intruding on the nesting site and increase the chance of hatching.en
