Excerpt
Seventy-nine green sea turtle hatchlings were released in Panglao Sea, marking another positive step in the conservation of one of the world’s endangered marine species, and highlighting the importance of protecting vital nesting habitats. The hatchlings emerged on the evening of June 15, a day ahead of the global observance of World Sea Turtle Day, and safely made their way to the sea after nearly two months of incubation.
