    Excerpt
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office reported diverse market value trends in the average retail prices of milkfish (bangus), round scad (galunggong), and tilapia across the province during the first phase of December 2025 (Dec. 1-5). Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare stated that the findings were generated from the Retail Price Survey (RPS) of Selected Commodities. This data serves as a critical input for the computation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which monitors inflation and purchasing power. According to the report, a kilogram of bangus consistently recorded an average retail price of P225 during the first phase of December and the second phase of November 2025 (Nov. 15-17).
