In an effort to cush­ion the impact of the eco­nomic crisis in the coun­try, the Depart­ment of Agri­cul­ture (DA) in Bicol has allot­ted P604 mil­lion fuel sub­sidy inten­ded for 260,050 farm­ers and fish­er­men in Bicol. DA Bicol Agri­cul­tural Pro­gram Coordin­at­ing Officer Florentino Ubalde Jr. told the press dur­ing the vir­tual press brief­ing with the Phil­ip­pine Stat­ist­ics Author­ity (PSA) regional office on Fri­day that the depart­ment will give the fuel sub­sidy under the Pres­id­en­tial assist­ance to cover the 260,050 farm­ers and fish­er­folk. Each bene­fi­ciary stands to receive P2,325 cash assist­ance dur­ing the rol­lout set in the next few days.
