Shellfish ban imposed on 2 Pangasinan towns
Excerpt
Residents of Anda and Bolinao in Pangasinan have been warned against consuming shellfish collected from their coastal waters due to the presence of algae that produce red tide. In a post on social media, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources said tests conducted by BFAR’s marine biotoxin laboratory showed that shellfish meat samples collected from these towns contained the paralytic shellfish toxin.
