    Deliveries of fish rise by 2.7%

    More fish was unloaded in regional ports nationwide in January this year compared to 2025, according to data released by the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), a government agency attached to the Department of Agriculture. A total of 40,459.91 metric tons (MT) of fish were delivered to regional ports at the start of the year, an almost 2.70-percent increase from the 39,399.10 MT in the same month last year. The General Santos Fish Port Complex accounted for the largest unloading volume of 24,907.81 MT delivered in January, or 61.56 percent of total volume in all ports.
