PLO reviews anti-illegal fishing protocols

The Provincial Legal Office of Negros Occidental is reviewing the protocols with regard to its operations against illegal fishing. On Tuesday, Provincial Legal Officer Jose Ma. Valencia said the preview is initiated after a group of suspended illegal fishers filed a case with the Office of the Ombudsman against the members of Task Force Ilawood who Arrested them. The fishermen of the vessels owned by a certain Sherwin Lim accused the law enforcer of alleged qualified piracy, robbery, grave coercion, grave misconduct, gross ignorance of the law, and other offenses.
