    Local aquaculture industry has been drivng the growth of the agriculture sector but it needs support from the government, particularly in importing porcine processed animal proteins (PAP) for use in aquafeeds. Feedmix Specialists Inc. II vice president Norbert Chingcuanco appealed for support to the industry amid the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild pigs and related products from Italy due to a reported case of African swine fever (ASF).
