Six fishermen were safely rescued from their broken boat on July 26 in the waters of Panagatan Island here. The rescuers were the crew of motorboat JMG and personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). The six fishermen were Martin Ompad, 33; Sander Ompad, 21; Ricky Damosmoy, 47; Jeepay Bulado, 34; Jayson Delos Reyes, 33; and Nestor Monino, 56 – all residents of Barangay Navotas, Balayan, Batangas.
