A significant majority of Filipinos said they prefer candidates who firmly believe in asserting the Philippines’ rights against China’s aggressive actions in the West Philippine Sea, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey commissioned by the Stratbase Group, show. The survey, conducted from April 11 to 14, 2025, interviewed 1,800 respondents nationwide and has a ±2% margin of error. Results show that 75 percent of Filipinos favor “a candidate who believe that the Philippines must assert our rights against China’s aggressive actions in the West Philippine Sea.”
