dc.descriptionAn estimated 2.9 million fisherfolk will be able to avail of up to 50 kilograms or five months worth of their allocation of the P20-per-kilogram rice under the “Benteng Bigas, Meron Na!” program, a top official of the Department of Agriculture (DA) said Sunday, August 24. According to DA assistant secretary and spokesperson Arnel de Mesa, fisherfolk will be able to buy up to 10 kilograms of rice per month, or avail of a one-time 50-kilogram purchase that will be good for five months.en
