    Excerpt
Groups seeking justice following the oil spill in Oriental Mindoro lambasted San Miguel Corp. president and CEO Ramon S. Ang for admitting, in a matter-of-fact way, that SMC owned the crude oil seeping out of the sunken MT Princess Empress, but without acknowledging culpability. The environmental group Protect Verde Island Passage or VIP said it took Ang one month after the tragedy before he even owned up to the devastation that the industrial oil the company owned has wrought on the marine ecosystem at Verde Island Passage and the suffering this has caused the fisherfolk of Oriental Mindoro.
