    Excerpt
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the Philippine government is “in the process” of crafting guidelines for the conduct of combined maritime activities with the United States in the West Philippine Sea (WPS), including joint patrols. “Operational details, including on the possibility of engaging other regional partners, will be part of Philippine-US discussions within the framework of the MDB-SEB,” DFA spokesman Ma. Teresita Daza said, referring to the Mutual Defense Board-Security Engagement Board.
