    Excerpt
Tricycle drivers and food vendors in Cordova town have appealed to Mayor Cesar Suan to open the coastal waters off Barangays Poblacion and Catarman to everyone so that they can continue to sustain their livelihood. This, after Suan ordered Marine Watch to ban non-residents of Cordova from swimming in the area starting Monday, March 13, 2023. “Ang atong gipagamit para lang sa taga-Cordova. Wala nato gi-open for the entire public use,” he told SunStar Cebu. (Only Cordova residents have been allowed to swim. We have not opened the area to the entire public). “But we prohibit the bringing of food to the beaches. They can just swim,” he added.
