Sventy-three fishermen and van drivers, who are currently struggling to make ends meet due to the lack of work opportunities, happily received cash assistance from the provincial government on Monday, March 6, 2023. "This is just a small amount, but I hope this can help you while you are still recovering," said Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon, who met with the recipients during the distribution at the Provincial Capitol. Malanyaon sourced the financial assistance from her remaining Congressional funds, which were downloaded to the provincial government. She specifically allocated the funds for emergency assistance to help those who temporarily lost their livelihood.
