Police arrested 18 suspected illegal fishers in the sea waters of Barangay Asluman, Carles, Iloilo on Sunday, June 8. According to Major Sonny Boy Garnace, chief of the Carles Municipal Police Station, the suspects were caught aboard three fishing vessels – F/B Nanay Felisen, F/B Christian 2, and F/B Christian 3 – engaged in trawl fishing.
