    Excerpt
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) will start its crackdown on imported frozen fish on Dec. 4, 2022 amid the proliferation of imported frozen fish such as pampano, salmon and squid in the wet markets. BFAR Assistant Director for Administrative and Other Support Services Zaldy Perez said based on the inspection conducted at Commonwealth Market in Quezon City, frozen imported pampano, salmon and squid were being sold there. Perez said that imported frozen pampano and salmon are only allowed for industrial use such as restaurants and hotels.
