The Pampanga River needs desilting as a sustainable solution to the persistent and worsening flooding in the province. Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda raised this point as the recent heavy rains caused widespread flooding and damage to infrastructure reaching to least P432 million worth.The damage was based on the latest assessment of the provincial government and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
