Manulife embarks on ridge-to-reef reforestation
Excerpt
Seventh-century British preacher-author Thomas Fuller once said: “He that plants trees, loves others besides himself.” For the past few years, leading financial services provider Manulife Philippines has been living up to these words of wisdom by reforesting Quezon province’s coastal towns as part of its corporate social responsibility. Earlier this year, the firm prepared 1,000 native seedlings in Tanay, Rizal, to be planted in Kaliwa Watershed Reserve, in partnership with leading nature conservation group Haribon Foundation.
