    Excerpt
The Department of Agriculture is mulling to create farm tourism projects for salt farmers to help boost their production and income. This is a collaboration between the DA and Senator Cynthia Villar who wants to remove the requirement that local salt should be iodized under Republic Act 8172 or the Act for Salt Iodization Nationwide. The senator’s Chief of Staff Rhaegge Tamaña suggests beautifying salt farms for photo-taking activities, building nearby food stalls to sell fish harvests and salt-making demonstrations which tourists might enjoy.
