    Excerpt
Agriculture may sustain its recovery trend this year as it is expected to grow between 1.5 and 2.5 percent on the back of robust performance of crops and poultry industries, the University of Asia and the Pacific’s Center for Food and Agri Business (UA&P-CFA) said. UA&P-CFA executive director Marie Annette Dacul said the gross value added (GVA) of agriculture and fisheries will rebound from the 1.5 percent contraction posted last year. “This measured hope stems from investments in mechanization, crop R&D and digital tools,” Dacul said in the center’s recent mid-year conference.
