    Excerpt
The local governments of Roxas City and Capiz province, together with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-6, have started the preparatory works for the Panay River dredging. DPWH said they will start the desiltation and dredging at the outfalls of the Cogon-Jamul-awon River in barangays Barra, Bato and Banica towards Barangay Punta Cogon. The Cogon-Jamul-awon Floodway is one of the major components of the Panay River Basin Integrated Development Project (PRBIDP) in Capiz.
