The country’s fisheries output hit a six-year high in the first quarter, based on data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Figures from the PSA indicated that the volume of fisheries production in January to March reached 1.01 million metric tons (MMT), higher than the 990,713 metric tons (MT) in the previous year. PSA data also showed that the first quarter volume was the highest since the 1.01 MMT recorded in the same period of 2019.
