BFAR eyes tilapia hatchery project in Ifugao

A village-level tilapia hatchery worth P1 million will soon rise in Barangay Cawayan, Asipulo, Ifugao to enhance local fish production and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for fisherfolk, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) announced on Monday. BFAR through its Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program Phase 2 approved the project in recognition of the Cawayan Fisherfolk Association’s (CFA) efforts to improve its local fishing industry.
