    At least 500 passengers were rescued after a Roro vessel ran aground in shallow waters off Jagna Port, Bohol on Saturday, April 19, 2025. The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Central Visayas said MV Lite Ferry 5 drifted into shallow waters due to low tide while maneuvering to depart for Cagayan de Oro. The vessel became stranded approximately 200 meters from the port.
