Four barangay in Binalbagan town, Negros Occidental have been affected by the molasses spill from a sugar mill. Forester Lucia Salazar, supervising environment specialist of the Community Environment Natural Resources Office in neighboring Kabankalan City, said the molasses spill affected barangay Canmoros, Progreso, Marina and San Juan. Salazar said they have received reports of a fish kill in Canmoros.
