Frozen mackerel valued at P202 million allegedly smuggled from China was confiscated by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Department of Agriculture at the Port of Manila (POM) yesterday. Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel and BOC-POM District Collector Alexander Gerard Alviar inspected 19 shipping containers of frozen mackerel.
