dc.descriptionThe Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) 7 has confirmed that explosives were used causing the fish kill in the rehabilitated Cebu City Reef last Saturday, March 8, 2025. During a scientific examination conducted by BFAR 7 fish examiner Alberto Simbajon Jr., internal and external injuries were found on fish samples retrieved from the site. BFAR 7 said based on the manifestations, the fish samples submitted for examination were “positively caught with the use of explosives.”en
