The Davao-based Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) successfully rescued 19 passengers from a motorized banca that capsized off the coast of Barangay Ilang, Davao City. In a Facebook post, CGDSEM reported that the boat, carrying 19 passengers, capsized due to engine trouble. "Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident to enhance maritime safety," the Coast Guard stated.
