Undeterred by the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN)’s aggressive action in the West Philippine Sea (WPS), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced that the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) conducted another maritime domain awareness (MDA) flight over the vital waterway Thursday. It added that the MDA flight covered the Kalayaan Island Group in the WPS. “The MDA flight was executed using two BFAR aircraft, departing from Puerto Princesa,” the PCG said.
