    The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Davao Region (DAR-BFAR-Davao) offered livelihood programs to fishermen throughout the closed season of Davao Gulf from June to August 2023. Elisa E. Pil, officer-in-charge and chief of the Fisheries Production and Support Services Division (FPSSD), said during the 10th-year closed season culmination program that fishermen were unaffected by the closed season due to the assistance they received.
