President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday said that the government will continue to improve infrastructure and systems to maintain the favorable status of aquaculture production in the country. Marcos made the statement on the sidelines of Livestock Philippines 2023 in Pasay, where he was asked how the government plans to maintain the production volume of aquaculture despite the declaration of the El Niño phenomenon by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. “Well, we have to adjust to it in the sense that we must accept the fact that this is the new normal,” Marcos said. “These challenges are what we will face. So, we will continue to improve the infrastructure and systems.”en
