Fishermen and residents from Barangay Balut II in Pilar town, Bataan province received 14 multipurpose solar drying trays, known as "portasols" from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Portasols are stackable aluminum trays covered with nets, designed to dry fish while shielding the contents from contaminants like dust and pests. This initiative is under the agency's “Provision of Sun Drying Trays for Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology in Support to Livelihood” project.
