    Excerpt
Mayor Honey Lacuna appealed yesterday to the public not to go swimming at Manila Bay, especially on water off the Baseco and Dolomite beaches, because of the high coliform levels there. A doctor, Lacuna warned that swimming in the bay poses serious danger to people’s health. “So please, I am appealing to all. Swimming at Baseco and Dolomite beaches is not allowed,” the mayor said, noting reports that the ban is being disregarded.
