Local chief executives and barangay officials have been tasked to conduct cleanup drives in their respective areas tomorrow in support of the Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas program of the national government. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will launch the Kalinga at Inisyatiba para sa Malinis na Bayan or Kalinisan program on Jan. 6 in a bid to provide a safe and healthy environment for all residents. The launch of the program will coincide with the annual Community Development Day, which aims to foster and promote the Filipino tradition of bayanihan.
