    The Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) impounded smuggled frozen mackerel amounting to P178.5 million from China at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) on Wednesday. In a statement, the bureau said it seized 21 40-footer containers of frozen mackerel that lacked the required import clearance. Each container of frozen mackerel was estimated to be valued at P8.5 million, according to the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS).
