The country's aquaculture sector is gradually adopting new technologies to attain better productivity and sustainability, but still needs more investments to unlock its potential. Wilfredo Cruz, the director of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 3 office, said that the local aquaculture sector in the past 20 years has been adopting technologies like cage culture, resulting in better production.
